Mily Tech is officially ISO 27001 certified!

We are happy to announce that Mily Tech has obtained ISO 27001:2022 certification. 

Last-mile delivery processes produce a vast amount of diverse data. Every movement, delivery, and system provides important information for parcel and postal operators. As the Mily Tech platform gathers and processes this data for evaluation, maintaining strong security and compliance is our top priority.

What is ISO 27001?

ISO 27001 is one of the most well-known international standards that sets the requirements for information security management systems (ISMS). ISMS involves processes, technology, and people that help companies manage information and customer data through risk management, cyber-resilience, and operational excellence.

What does this mean for you?

Greater trust that we handle your sensitive data securely and continuously work to reduce and prevent security risks.

Here are some of the essential steps required for the certification — that we also take continuously — to ensure customer data security:

• Data encryption — We encrypt your data using industry-standard protocols, ensuring it’s secure from unauthorized access both at rest and in transit. 
• Dependency and network scanning — We continuously scan dependencies and use Intrusion Detection and Prevention (IDS/IPS) systems to prevent network vulnerabilities and malicious activity.
• External penetration testing — Once a year, we collaborate with a third-party consultant to conduct penetration tests to make sure our solutions are secure.
• Vendor management — We regularly perform security reviews to track and reduce risks from our third-party vendors.
• Security training — All Mily Tech team members must complete training annually to better respond to technology-based risks and threats.‍
• Continuous security and compliance monitoring — As we partner with Vanta, our infrastructure and systems are continuously monitored to ensure we meet the security standards.

Obtaining the ISO 27001:2022 certificate has been a long-time goal for us. I believe it not only demonstrates the maturity of our security but also our capabilities as a team. Especially as only a few companies in the industry can exhibit this degree of trust,
and none are startups.

What’s next?

After ensuring we’re 100% GDPR compliant and that our security is up to the standards of ISO 27001:2022, we’re laying the groundwork for the ISO 27001:200 addition. Our next goal is to obtain a SOC 2 report, which will solidify our reputation as a trusted partner.
